This capacity makes the TIM **0 and TIM **0 ideally suited for those tasks where previously two separate cameras were used. Potential applications for the technology are in early-warning fire detection systems in open areas and in waste disposal sites, the temperature control of bulk materials and metals, production of solar panels, and for electronics R&D. The system is also suitable for investigating complex machinery and equipment where orientation is very difficult without a visual image.

The TIM **0 and TIM **0 have standard temperature ranges of **0 to **0°C, 0 to **0°C, and **0 to **0°C. A fourth optional range of **0 to ***0°C is also available. Basic accuracy across all ranges is ±2°C or ±2%, whichever is greater. Unlike traditional infrared vision cameras, the Micro-Epsilon TIM **0 and TIM **0 assigns a calibrated temperature value to each recorded pixel, so that no comparative measurement takes place.

The Micro-Epsilon TIM **0 and TIM **0 thermal imagers are powered and operated via a USB 2.0 interface. These plug-and-play units are supplied with a full software package, TIM Connect, that enables the user to configure all device parameters, as well as enabling the real time capture (at *6Hz full frame rate) and storage of images or video of an event for slow motion play back or snapshots at a later date an important feature in R&D and failure diagnostics work.

Analog s and outputs are provided for the TIM **0 and TIM **0, as well as digital communication via RS**2 or DLL for software integration. Output of analog temperature or trigger/alert values are via process interfaces provided. The camera also comes with a software developer kit and LabVIEW driver as standard.

The Micro-Epsilon TIM **0 and TIM **0 are extremely rugged (IP*7) and lightweight. With dimensions of just *5mm x *5mm x *2mm, the camera remains one of the smallest USB-operated infrared cameras available on the market today.
